When I think about leadership, I think about giving what I can to my colleagues. Whether they be human, a cat like myself, or anything else, that’s what really brings us together in business: giving.

That’s when you turn around. So that you can lead them into the future. And so that they can get a good look at your exhaust.

Long story short, I hope you’re feeling productive this week. I know a lot of you are enjoying increased remote work and that’s important. Productivity is up, so no good leader can complain.

But if I’m honest, I do miss those water cooler conversations, interacting with people outside my usual silo, coming away with some new perspectives, and knowing, whether they want to or not, that as I walk away they are giving an appraising look right up the foyer of my digestive tract.
