FIFA Cosplays US Thanksgiving by Abusing People and Calling it Tradition
Two workers to be symbolically pardoned but literally still oppressed.
In a rare case of multinational sports organization and national cosplay, FIFA and the leadership of Qatar have joined together to give tribute to the United States’ Thanksgiving holiday by abusing untold numbers of people and referring to it as tradition.
“They’ve taken the cosplay game to a new level,” said Dave Layla, cosplay YouTuber. “Lots of people do group costumes. Stormtroopers, warriors from the movie 300, or US citizens from Idiocracy. But this FIFA and Qatar thing is beyond all that.”
FIFA and Qatar’s cosplay is said to be so complete that they not only oppressed workers already in Qatar at the time of the agreement, but also brought even more people from other nations into the country and oppressed them as well, using economic tactics as well as controls on their ability to change jobs or leave.
“Spot-on cosplay of the US,” said Layla. “I stand in awe.”
