I Might Have Left Facebook but I'm Still Very Interested in Promoting Garbage

You can take the dog out of the fight...

There’s no question, at this point, that social media was a bad idea that has done irreparable damage to society. For that reason, a few months back, I deleted all my Facebook and Instagram accounts. I haven’t looked back since.

Even so, I am still very much committed to promoting garbage.

Don’t Call Me Ignorant; I Know I’m a Dick

Just look at the way I use semicolons. That should tell you everything you need to know about what kind of guy I am. That, and noting far too often that, “I digress.” And yet, I digress.

People were spreading garbage ideas to promote their special interests long before Facebook came around, and that’s what I intend to do. In other words: old school.

You can get a lot done just by identifying a target demographic — in this case, emotionally fragile white males like myself — and then feeding them stuff they want to hear. Hell, it worked on me. Still does!

So yeah, I quit Facebook. And yeah, that might mean I don’t consume quite as much garbage. But if you get a look at — or a whiff of — what’s coming out, nothing much has changed.
